IronPlanet Expands Presence in Canada
Pleasanton, CA — February 27, 2008 — IronPlanet™ (www.ironplanet.com), the world's leading online auction company for used construction and agricultural equipment, has expanded its presence in Canada, significantly increasing its sales force and base of operations. Frank Despatie, IronPlanet's newly appointed managing director for Canada, and his team of territory managers will be responsible for growing IronPlanet's Canadian customer base.
A veteran in used heavy construction sales, Despatie has been with IronPlanet since the company was founded, holding a number of sales positions. In his new role as managing director, Despatie and his sales team will accelerate IronPlanet's growth in Canada, building on an already strong base of OEM, dealer, contractors and mining company relationships.

New Territory Managers
Despatie has appointed Rod Butler and Chad McArthur as territory managers for southwest and northeast Ontario, respectively. Both Butler and McArthur bring extensive experience in construction equipment sales. Butler's years of experience in dealer, agricultural and transportation sales will be a tremendous asset in the Canadian market. McArthur brings a network of relationships and a significant background in operations from industry-leading rental companies.
Kyle Bates joins IronPlanet with significant experience in construction sales in the OEM market as well as buying and selling equipment for his own company, Kyle Bates Holdings. Bates has been appointed to the position of territory manager for Alberta, the Northwest Territories and Saskatchewan.
Jay Cassels has been appointed to the position of territory manager for British Columbia and the Yukon. Cassels has a strong background in construction equipment sales and finance from a leading OEM dealer.
André Rodier has been appointed to manage the Quebec and Maritime Province business. Rodier's background includes experience in construction equipment as well as expertise in on-highway truck sales. Rodier previously worked within IronPlanet's Inspection Services group.
