Job Description:

This position requires heavy phone volume, including answering inbound calls, providing customers with information about IronPlanet, our auctions, equipment for sale in upcoming auctions, and making outbound calls to customers regarding their purchases. Enter all communication into IronPlanet's customer database. Assist other Customer Care/Inside Sales Agents as necessary.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one customer support to our customers. Respond to customer inquiries effectively and efficiently in a courteous manner.
  • Log all interaction with our customers and their transactions in the customer records in Onyx - IronPlanet's CRM system.
  • Ensure all follow-up communications with customers regarding post-sale transactions are made in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all transactions are closed in a timely manner so that we can keep our buyers and sellers satisfied.
  • Manage the post-sale process with assigned sellers. Verify that all items have been paid and picked up from the seller's lot.
  • Manage buyer defaults to less than 2%
  • Manage late pickups
  • Make 80-100 calls per day (inbound & outbound)
  • Ensure timely internal escalation with issues that must be handled by upper management.
  • Call First Time Bidders and Send out pick up location packages
  • Respond to and update records accordingly
  • Make calls for first time buyers, late payments, and late pickups
  • Assist Buyers with Transportation Issues
  • Assist Finance in handling appropriate tax exemption forms
  • Monitor sales contract information
  • Handle re-listings
  • Follow post-auction checklist

Requirements:

  • Good phone skills
  • Team player with leadership skills
  • Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office
  • 3-5 years of Call Center or Inside Sales Experience
